Passionate about rangatahi being engaged in sport for life
2023 TSSSA EVENTS
With over 40 events on the TSSSA calendar each year, there are plenty of quality and equitable sporting opportunities for secondary school students in Taranaki.
OUR STUDENTS AND SCHOOLS ARE SAYING...
“Our students thoroughly enjoyed the modified sports week. It is close to the end of term, so it's a fantastic opportunity to be with their peers and play sports in a relaxed environment. To be honest, it's just so good to see our students happy and having FUN together!"
“We can also use those values and characteristics of sport that students readily understand to reinforce their school culture and values.”
“Schools recognise the value of Sport in Education values based learning. We need to Change the focus around what we celebrate in sport – instead of being results/numbers focused . Use skills & learnings such as confidence, inclusiveness, self-management, relating to others as a lever to get kids out of school & participating in sport”.
TSSSA VISION AND GOAL
To create inclusive opportunities for all students to have positive school sport and physical activity experiences.
To provide quality and equitable opportunities for all Secondary Students in the Taranaki region to participate in sport and physical activity growing greater wellbeing (hau ora) outcomes for Rangatahi.
