Our biggest TSSSA calendar event is fast approaching, TSSSA Rogaine!! 

Attracting over 750 kids & held in conjunction with the awesome crew @ Orienteering Taranaki, this is shaping up to be an awesome event!

Event Information
1. Buses arrive between 4.30 – 5.00 pm
2. Individual cars/ drop off arrive after 5pm. If you are late, you may not get processed in time for the start.
3. On arrival school sport coordinators need to collect registration packs including wrist tags
4. Teams arriving by bus should stay on the bus and an OT representative will board the bus and register you there.
5. Teams arriving individually must send a representative to registration to pick up your registration pack.
Safety
1. Search and Rescue personnel will be helping us with the event.
2. We strongly recommend long trousers and tops as the brambles and gorse can be unpleasant
3. A copy of the RAMS document can be found on our website under the sport "Rogaine"

INFORMATION FOR COMPETITORS

Event Rules:
1. Teams will get two maps. The map will have control sites which are numbered.
2. The points value of the control is defined by the number. Control 70-79 are worth 70 points, controls 20-29 are worth 20 points etc.
3. Your objective is to get as many points as possible in the allotted time.
4. The event finishes at 8.30 pm. If you are late, you will be penalised 20 points per minute and disqualified at 8:45 pm.
5. Your team must stay together. Marshals will be on the course and teams which have split up will be penalised 50 points for minor infractions or disqualified for major ones.

Safety:
1. Search and Rescue personnel will be helping us with the event.
2. If you are really lost and need help, txt us on the number written on the map. We will help you work out where you are.
3. Do not go on to the main road or in the river (disqualification).
4. If you need help, get to one of the two vehicle tracks and cars will be driving down them at least every 30 minutes. If you do choose to use a vehicle you will be disqualified.
5. Do not split up.
6. We strongly recommend long trousers and tops as the brambles and gorse can be unpleasant.
